Rubertina Ortiz is an experienced daycare provider and mother. She was originally licensed in Massachusetts in 1990, and has been operating her in-home daycare ever since. Rubertina was born and raised in the Dominican Republic, but is now a US Citizen. She speaks both Spanish and English.
Rubertina is a mother of two daughters, Neftalina and Ingrid, who are both licensed and trained in Pediatric CPR and First Aid. Ingrid is currently serving in the Army as an active duty soldier. Nepthalina provides help and support. Rubertina’s sister Ingrid provides her full time assistance in the daycare.
Rubertina is trained in Pediatric CPR and First Aid. As a licensed Child Care Connection care provider, she is supervised and attends frequent training on issues in child care. She is also creative, compassionate and attentive to the children in her care, who call her “Abuela” (which means “grandma”).
In addition to the loving and nurturing environment Rubertina provides in her Lawrence, MA daycare, she also offers parents exceptional flexibility around drop off and pick up times, options for third shift or off hours care, special considerations like breast milk for infants, and educational opportunities for children in English and Spanish. Her home has three rooms set up for children, and a large fenced yard for fair-weather play.
